Aloo Upma Curry Recipe
Ingredients
- Potato - 3
- Red Chilli - 1 (halves)
- Green Chilli - 2
- Ginger - 1"
- Turmeric - 1/2tsp
- Lemon - 1
- Curry Leaves - 1 spring
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Seasoning - Chana Dal - 2 tsp, Urad Dal - 1 tsp, Mustard - 1/2 tsp, Oil - 4 tbsp
Preparation
- Boil potatoes, peel and mash slightly.
- Cut ginger and green chilli into small pieces
- Take a pan with oil on medium flame, When it is warm add Chana Dal, Urad Dal and mustard.
- When Dal gets golden brown colour, add red chilli stir once then add ginger and green chilli pieces.
- When it starts spluttering add mashed potato, mix well with other ingredients, then add turmeric and salt.
- Cover the curry and let it fry for 5 min. on low flame, stir now and then.
- Add chilli powder, mix well and stir fry for 2 min., then add curry leaves and turn off the flame.
- Cut lemon squeeze out the extract and pour over the curry, mix well.
