Allam pachadi (Allam means Ginger or Adrak) can be used as a side dish with Idli, Vada, Dosa, Pesarattu, Katte Pongali etc. It can also be consumed with rice. It can be preserved for one week.
Ingredients
- Ginger (Allam) - 3"
- Tamarind - Small lemon size
- Turmeric - A pinch
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Jaggery - 1/2"
- Inguva Karam - 1 tbsp
Preparation
- Clean, peal and cut ginger into small pieces.
- Wash tamarind and grind all ingredients together, with little warm water.
Note - Avoid contact with wet spoon.
